Spanish Speaking Applicants

Finally, a Miami-based university that recognizes some Spanish-speaking freshmen students may initially struggle with an English-only curriculum.

Millennia Atlantic University understands. We offer certain first-year courses in Spanish, giving qualified new students the additional time and confidence to earn a career-building degree.

Program Description

Undergraduate, Spanish-speaking freshmen students, whose TOEFL® scores lie between 400 and 500 on the paper-based test, or equivalent on the computer-based or Internet-based TOEFL® test, will be permitted to enroll on a conditional status.

Students enrolled under this conditional status must enroll in remedial English courses, but will be permitted to take certain core classes in Spanish. This allows the student to concentrate on improving their English-language skills (i.e. reading and writing, speaking and listening, grammar), while transitioning into the University´s English-only curriculum.

Students will be permitted to gain regular-student status upon the raising their TOEFL® score to 500 on the paper-based test or equivalent score on the computer-based or Internet-based test after completing two semesters at the University.
